We are delighted to have been awarded a 2nd Refurbishment project with Sherburn House Charity in Durham. The 2 refurbished buildings Thornley House and Shincliffe House are for Independent Living and are located in a stunning location in Durham.
Sherburn House Charity provides residential care and sheltered housing for residents and former residents in the North East of England, they are located at Christ’s Hospital (Sherburn Hospital) in Durham.
The charity was founded in 1181 and was originally a leper hospital for up to 65 leprous monks and nuns and was founded by The Bishop of Durham Hugh Pudsey (Hugh Le Puiset). The buildings and grounds are stunning and there is even a chapel on site.
The Charity has a very strong mission vision to provide relief for those in need in the local area.
